DAVAO CITY — Globe is adding more excitement to the Kadayawan Festival this year by bringing activities that celebrate Davao’s culture, local talents, and the power of technology.
With its month-long celebration, Globe aims to help residents and visitors enjoy the festival through digital experiences that connect people through music, arts, wellness, and innovation.Following the theme of the 41st Kadayawan Festival, “We are KADAYAONE,” Globe continues to support stronger communities by creating opportunities for students, families, artists, and creators to showcase their talents and share the stories of Davao.
Globe Chief Marketing Officer KD Dizon said Kadayawan represents the creativity, culture, and unity that make Davao and Mindanao special. She added that Globe wants more people to discover local stories and create memorable moments through technology.To support the celebration, Globe improved its 5G services in key areas of Davao City, giving festivalgoers better connectivity while attending events, visiting attractions, and sharing their experiences with others.
The activities began on August 9 through 5G Hypermove, a fun run at Azuela Cove that promoted an active lifestyle while helping support the Philippine Eagle Foundation’s wildlife conservation programs.Students also took part in 5G Building Craft: Paint Tomorrow on August 11, where they used mural art to show their ideas about how technology can help create better and more connected communities.
More activities are set to continue, including 5G EnergyTok, a digital dance challenge featuring Davao’s famous landmarks, and 5G EnergyJam, which will highlight young local musicians during G Music Fest in Kadayawan on August 16 at Ayala Malls Abreeza.Festival visitors can also drop by the 5G Pitstop at Ayala Malls Abreeza from August 14 to 16 for interactive experiences, special activities, and access to Globe’s digital services.Globe will take part in key Kadayawan celebrations such as Konsierto Kadayawan and Pamulak ug Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan, which showcase the traditions, creativity, and cultural heritage of Davao’s communities.
Through its Kadayawan activities, Globe continues to use technology as a way to celebrate culture, support local talents, and bring people closer together as communities move forward.
