CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — The Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc. (Oro Chamber) expressed support for the establishment of the Northern Mindanao Investment Assistance Center (NORMINVEST), an initiative aimed at making the region more attractive to investors and helping businesses grow.
Oro Chamber President Almarco C. Brito said the new investment assistance center is a timely step toward creating a more business-friendly environment by providing investors with better guidance, faster processes, and stronger coordination between government agencies and the private sector.
During the launch of the NORMINVEST portal and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on August 11, Brito said the initiative can help connect investors with key government offices, address business concerns, and reduce challenges in expanding investments in the region.
He added that stronger investment support can create more jobs, strengthen local enterprises, and open more economic opportunities for communities across Northern Mindanao.The Oro Chamber also committed to working with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and other stakeholders to promote a region where businesses can grow and investments can contribute to inclusive economic development.
