ILIGAN CITY — Residents of Barangay Saray gained easier access to health care, social assistance, livelihood support, and civil registry services through the Asenso Iliganon Serbisyo Caravan held on August 6.
The city government brought different services directly to the community in partnership with national government agencies, helping residents address their needs without traveling far to city offices.Barangay Kagawad Adilberto A. Fuentes said bringing the services closer to residents made government assistance more accessible and convenient.
“It is a big help for us because the services have been brought directly to the barangay,” he said.Residents also welcomed the program, especially those needing medical assistance. Arlieta C. Salong shared that the caravan helped her access medicine support through the Department of Health system.
Mary Ann Vanessa Bacarra said the activity was especially helpful for senior citizens who find it difficult to travel to government offices for medical checkups.Another resident, Jaypril Debalucos, also received assistance from PhilHealth for his health concern.
The caravan offered various services, including PhilHealth registration, medical consultations, free medicines, vaccinations, and grooming services from the city government.Officials said the Asenso Iliganon Serbisyo Caravan will continue visiting other barangays to bring essential government services closer to more residents.
