COTABATO CITY — MILF leader and incumbent MP Abdullah “Kumander Bravo” Macapaar has accepted the election outcome after failing to secure a seat in the first Bangsamoro Parliament.
Macapaar was not included among the 15 party nominees of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) who were officially proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to occupy seats in the Bangsamoro Parliament.
Despite not being included in the list, Macapaar reportedly accepted the decision and the outcome of the recent BARMM parliamentary elections.
The 15 UBJP nominees were formally proclaimed on Tuesday at Camp Siongco as part of the process of forming the new 80-member Bangsamoro Parliament.
Macapaar is a prominent leader of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and currently serves as a member of the Bangsamoro Parliament.
