LANAO DEL NORTE (PIA) — Residents of Poona Piagapo are expected to receive improved law enforcement services with the opening of the newly completed municipal police station, providing police personnel with a better facility to support their daily operations.The new standard police station, formally turned over on July 7, now serves as the headquarters of the Poona Piagapo Municipal Police Station. The facility is designed to improve police operations, strengthen public safety efforts, and provide a more accessible space for residents seeking police assistance
.Police Regional Office-10 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said the new building will help bring police services closer to the community while giving officers a more suitable workplace that can boost their morale and performance.He emphasized that maintaining peace and order is important in supporting development and creating safer communities under the Bagong Pilipinas agenda.Meanwhile, Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office Director Police Col. Leo De Leon Sua said the improved facility will help police personnel carry out security planning, administrative tasks, and operational activities more effectively.
He added that the provincial police office continues to strengthen crime prevention efforts through increased police visibility, patrol operations, and border checkpoints in coordination with local government units and partner agencies.
Poona Piagapo Mayor Ashley Raki-in said the new police station represents the municipality’s commitment to peace and order, while providing police personnel with a permanent workplace that supports their mission to serve the community.
The new facility highlights the continued partnership between the Philippine National Police and the local government in improving public safety and strengthening law enforcement services in Poona Piagapo.
