The government is rolling out a nationwide cash assistance program aimed at supporting millions of Filipino households across three beneficiary groups, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian said.The initiative will benefit 7.5 million households, including families enrolled in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program, poor and near-poor households identified through the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), and qualified low-income Social Security System (SSS) members.
The first group consists of 4Ps and Walang Gutom Program beneficiaries who will receive one-time financial support. Meanwhile, poor and near-poor households not covered by existing social protection programs will receive monthly assistance from July to December after being identified through government data.Initial releases are being distributed through designated payout centers, while succeeding assistance will be sent through registered e-wallets or bank accounts. Low-income SSS members will receive the support through their registered benefit or ATM accounts.
In Northern Mindanao, qualified 4Ps beneficiaries have already started receiving their assistance through the Land Bank of the Philippines and accredited e-wallet service providers, providing additional support to families amid rising living costs.
Beneficiaries in Gingoog City receive their P2,000 cash assistance under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry and Transport (UPLIFT) program during the July 20–22 payout.
