ILIGAN CITY — The Diyandi Fiesta Park in Barangay Santiago, Iligan City, is now open to the public, giving local vendors, entrepreneurs, and businesses a place to showcase their products during the Diyandi Festival 2026.
The park officially opened on September 2 through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and fireworks display, welcoming families, visitors, and festivalgoers to enjoy food, entertainment, and local products.
Diyandi Festival Overall Chairperson Atty. Riezyl Reen P. Angas said the Fiesta Park is not only a place for celebration but also an opportunity to support local businesses and create income for vendors, workers, performers, and other community members involved in the festival.
Fiesta Park Head Leslie Ralph Oblenda said the venue highlights the creativity, skills, and entrepreneurial spirit of Iliganons.The city government also established a monitoring system to ensure fair stall allocation and prevent unauthorized resale or subleasing of spaces.
Officials said the move promotes transparency and gives more local entrepreneurs a chance to participate.To ensure proper management, the City Treasurer’s Office will directly handle stall payments and provide official receipts to vendors.With the opening of the Fiesta Park, the Diyandi Festival continues to bring together culture, community, and economic opportunities for the people of Iligan.
