Northern Mindanao Unveils Digital Portal to Make Investing Easier

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — Northern Mindanao has launched a new digital investment portal designed to make it easier for investors to access information, connect with government offices, and receive assistance when starting or expanding businesses in the region.The Northern Mindanao Investment Assistance Center (NORMINVEST) portal brings together investment-related information, including business registration, licensing requirements, investment opportunities, and available incentives.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-10 Regional Director Ruel B. Paclipan said the portal was created to simplify investment promotion and improve coordination among government agencies, local government units (LGUs), and private-sector partners.Through the portal’s referral system, investors can directly connect with designated government focal persons who can help address concerns and provide faster responses.

Board of Investments-Cagayan de Oro Division Chief Lourdes Ellen Kionisala said the platform will allow investors to access important information about Northern Mindanao even before they visit the region, helping them make informed decisions about business opportunities.The Investment Assistance Center will also provide support beyond the initial investment stage by assisting businesses during establishment and operations.

The initiative is supported by 35 partner institutions composed of government agencies, regulatory and financial organizations, LGUs, and private-sector groups. These partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation and improve investment facilitation in Northern Mindanao.With NORMINVEST, regional officials aim to create a more investor-friendly environment, attract new businesses, and promote economic growth across Northern Mindanao.
